Hey, Tim here. We just had another person upgrade to the lifetime plan of Content and Clients. It's a pricey offer, but if you have the budget, it's 100% worth it. Feel free to start on the quarterly plan to keep your costs low. Then, if you love it, you can talk to Charles to upgrade to lifetime membership. Anyway, here are your 4 tips and mindset shifts... 1. Ogilvy's 10th Rule Here are all 10, from a memo he sent out to his legendary ad firm: The one I wanted to highlight is the 10th. It's especially relevant for me right now, as I'm finding that conversations are a driving most of my sales. Inbound marketing is great. We've done a ton with it with Copyblogger. But if you want to sell anything expensive, you have to talk to people. Send DMs. Send emails. Close calls. Don't settle for tiny amounts of passive lead flow. 2. The Right Progression Lots of people love the idea of passive income. So they try to get right into info products. I get why. This is one of the most passive business models you can have. Create content, get customers, instant delivery. Easy. The problem is, getting enough clicks isn't easy. At all. So here's what I recommend to most: master selling high-priced services first. Then master group consulting. And only after that, experiment with info products. 3. Optimize For Profile Clicks You'd think that optimizing for likes, replies, shares, etc would be best on social media. There's some truth to that. But one of the most powerful metrics is one that almost nobody in the creation space thinks about. It's profile clicks. These tell algorithms to spread your content, and they help you sell a lot more. Mention results driven for yourself and clients. Give unpopular opinions. Do things that make people check you out. 4. Lesson From The Build Most motivational creators tell you to think big. I'm more of a fan of thinking small. Selling to a small niche, building a small but highly profitable business, doing small tasks that eventually add up. Thinking big is cool when you're planning, but it probably shouldn't be a daily thing. That's just day-dreaming. Break that goal into tiny tasks, then focus only on those. This is how you make progress (and stay sane). - Tim P.S. Whenever you're ready, Copyblogger can help you in 3 ways: - Copyblogger Academy - 6 courses, expert Q&A, and a lot more for just $149.
