The 1-1-1 Model This stands for "one offer, one avatar, one marketing channel." For my first big agency win, that was using SEO on my site to get clicks from rehab clinics, then selling SEO services to those clinics. I did almost nothing else. For someone starting out right now, I might advise them to narrow their offer, sell it to a specific audience, and use LinkedIn (content and outreach) to get clients. But still, keep it simple. One, one, one, Nothing more. 2. Conversations = Cash The reason I wrote above that I might advise LinkedIn over SEO for a rookie is that conversations are the best way to close big deals. By far. If you sell a service, you have to be talking to people. Do it constantly. Don't rely on inbound leads only. Send short, conversational DMs that create interest, build a tiny bit of trust, and make it easy to say "yes." If you do that every day, you'll earn. It's inevitable. But you have to be consistent. 3. Never Stop Building Trust How much you get paid is a reflection of what you're promising and how confident people are that you'll deliver on that promise. That trust is only slightly built by being valuable and personable in your content. The better way is getting results and constantly referring to them. Put them on landing pages. Mention them in content, DMs, and sales calls. Once you've delivered them, document them, and use them over and over. 4. Lesson From The Build This one isn't about business. It's about life. My gram is in hospice care right now. She's at peace and ready to go, but it's still sad. She was there for me when almost nobody else was. At my absolute worst. So today's lesson is this: don't work so hard and have such tunnel vision that you lose good people. One day, you'll lose them for good, and you'll probably wish that you gave them a little bit more time. - Tim P.S.
