This week was all about the bigger picture of content marketing strategy. “Great content” is a wonderful start, but you need the strategic context that pulls it all together.

Whether you're a pro or just getting started, the posts and podcasts below will give you a framework to make your project really strong.

On Monday, Ronell Smith answered the ever-perplexing question, What, precisely, do we mean when we sayhigh-quality content?” He shared five “ingredients” he's observed over years of working with organizations.

On Tuesday, Chris Garrett dug into the benefits of blogging. He talked specifically about blogging for ecommerce sites here, but his points and tips will also apply to a digital business, a big brand, or a service.

And on Wednesday, I riffed on Ronell's post by adding a sixth “ingredient” that can take content from “solidly useful” to “crazy successful.”

Ronell also showed up on Copyblogger FM to talk about how we can get all that great content written and recorded.

And on Sites, Jerod Morris channeled Brian Clark (and Bill Murray) to present content marketing as a form of seduction. Strictly rated-G, we promise. :)
