Become a Master of Metaphor

Hey everyone,

Tim here. Happy Friday. I hope you all had productive weeks.

Let's get right to it.

1. Become a Master of Metaphor and Multiply Your Marketing Effectiveness

People often associate metaphor with poetry, literature, and art, but we all use metaphor in our day-to-day conversation, often without realizing it.

Because they are so effective at instantly communicating both tangible and conceptual information, metaphorical expressions are woven throughout the fabric of the English language.

2. Why Building the Right Team is So Critical

Founder of Systeme.io, Aurélien Amacker, spoke with host Darrell Vesterfelt about his early life as a struggling blogger and digital marketer, his first $500K product launch, and mistakes he's learned from along the way to online success.

Aurelian Amacker spent over a year, tens of thousands of euros, and lots of blood, sweat, and tears before he found the right formula (and team) for his popular software as a service, now used by thousands of customers to launch and run their own online businesses.

In this episode, Darrell and Aurelian discussed:

  • The tools Aurélien used to build a list of over 10,000 email subscribers for his first product launch (and why it was so stressful)
  • Why he chose to move away from the "Product Launch Formula"
  • 3 questions to ask yourself before taking a big financial gamble
  • Why building the right team from the start is so important

And much more!

3. How to Use Long Tail Keywords to Grow a Profitable Business

SEO is not an elite science for tech nerds. SEO is built around creativity, common sense, and dedication. In this video, I give you some practical and easy to digest examples of how you can use long tail search to grow an online brand and build a reputation as an authority in any space. This strategy has brought me more success than anything else. I hope you digest the information.

4. How to Start a Blog that Changes Your Life

Nat Eliason wrote an EPIC article which documents his entire journey from creating his first blog post to $300,000 a year of (relatively) passive revenue.

Nat is a great writer and I am always impressed with his work. In this blog post, he goes in detail about what it takes to get started, about what is required to build an audience and finally, how to go about monetizing the blog.

It's a great read. I highly recommend it.

5. How to Flourish

I've been loving Claire Emerson's weekly newsletter on self management. It's easy to forget how important it is to have control over your time, your emotions, and your habits. In many ways, it's the number 1 indicator of success. You can't be consistent over time if you don't have management over yourself.

Claire's weekly newsletter is a breathe of fresh air.

Closing Thoughts

I've been sitting here trying to think of something "profound" to write this week.

Then it hit me. Nothing special happened this week. But we showed up, day in and day out. The most important character trait in successful online business owners is that they show up. They are deliberate with their time and their attention. They don't bounce back and forth from idea to idea.

They make a plan. They stick to it. They show up in the exciting days and the boring days.

Show up. Show up today and tomorrow and every day.

Stay focused.

Talk to you next week.
