My Latest Directory Win Two weeks ago, I decided to make a local directory site for a service in Denver. The service has a pretty high price, and the people offering it had mediocre SEO, so I thought it might be a quick win. So I used Windsurf AI to whip up a site in a few hours, made it as useful as I could, and sprinkled in some technical SEO. The result is being at the top of search results almost instantly. Lots of lessons in there. 2. Simple Business Idea Google My Business is essential for local companies, but many of them don't think about it, and others pay outrageous prices for agencies to manage it along with other marketing services. A potential business idea for you is doing cold outreach to local businesses with unoptimized or non-existent Google listings. You could sell that as a one-time service, then upsell to other services too. 3. My Partner's Insane LinkedIn Post My Copyblogger partner Charles is a social media wiz. One thing he's discovered is that if you talk about a personal result on social (especially LinkedIn), it often gets insane impression numbers. That's because algorithms track profile clicks, and if a lot of people are clicking, it spreads the post far and wide. His was a financial win, but this works in every niche (e.g. a fitness coach posting a before/after). 4. Lesson From The Build Double down on what's working. I have to remind myself of this over and over again. Sometimes you should do something brand new, especially if nothing is working, but then you need to focus. Optimize blog posts that are already ranking, upsell current clients on more comprehensive services, build new companies that fit the audience you already have.
