Make Buying Easy Friction in sales/marketing is any part of your process that's difficult. If an online store's checkout process is 4 pages long, they'll convert less. If you require a phone number to sign up for a newsletter, most won't sign up. Sometimes you add some because the ROI is positive (e.g. a phone number might be good for a high-priced SaaS), but be aware of any friction and smooth it out if you can. The easier it is to buy, the more they will. 2. The 3 Types Of Positioning Charles recently made a video about how people and brands can differentiate from their competition. The 3 ways are audience specificity, something about the offer being special, and philosophical differences. You don't need all 3 of them, but let's do an example with all. Rather than just be a ghostwriter, you could be the ghostwriter who delivers leads (not likes) to agency owners and offers the first post for free. 3. Make Your Value Obvious You can make a good living online offering just about anything. But some offers are much easier to sell because the value of them is completely obvious. So if you prove you can deliver, you'll be paid very well. One example is leads. Which is actually my next big business idea (I'll keep you updated on it). The overarching lesson, though, is that what you're offering should be a no-brainer. Everyone should want it. No question. 4. Lesson From The Build Nothing is ever set in stone. Companies fail, or you sell them. Partners come and go. Strategies that used to work don't anymore. Offers that used to sell like crazy don't get any love. Nothing is truly evergreen. And that's okay. Keep your eyes open, learn how to spot shifting trends, and adjust as needed. That's a skill you can learn, and after you go through enough tough seasons in business in life, you'll be a master at it. - Tim P.S.
