Hey, Tim here. My partner Charles just dropped a killer video in Copyblogger Academy that shows you how to do "Spy Marketing." It includes competitor research tools for content creators and, more importantly, how to take ideas from others but turn them into something that's more effective and 100% your own. If you're in already, check it out. If not, join us to take a look. Now, for your 4 tips... 1. Content Distribution People want to think that if you just create good content, you'll get found, and you'll sell whatever you sell. Unfortunately, that's now how it works. Content creation is one phase of the game. Distribution is the other. That term refers to the things you do to get your content seen. In search, it means building backlinks. On social, it means coordinating engagements with other creators. Don't just create. Distribute your stuff too. 2. Content/Copy Formulas There are tons of content and copywriting formulas out there. But this one seems to work especially well. Start with a strong hook/headline, briefly explain the problem, solve it, prove your solution, then pitch something. The hook grabs attention, the pain creates emotion, the solution delivers value (in content) or informs about the offer (in copy), the proof makes them trust you, and the pitch closes the deal. Simple and effective. 3. UX Is Everywhere User experience (UX) is often something that big businesses hire for on websites and apps. But it's actually a wide-ranging concept that applies to basically everything. Reading a blog post, reading a social post, etc. Go through every stage of your sales funnel and offer delivery. Ask yourself which parts might be unenjoyable. Use analytics tools (like Hotjar) to figure that out too. Then fix all the issues and make things smoother. 4. Lesson From The Build You never really know what's gonna work. Sometimes offers sell. Other times they fail. Sometimes a piece of content generates leads that make you $10k+ a month. Other times it'll get close no clicks and generate no cash. I recently dove into my YouTube analytics and found that my Shorts were doing way better than my videos. So I'm adjusting and moving forward. Try stuff, see what works, do more of that, repeat. That's all you can do. - Tim P.S.
