Search traffic is down across the board. Almost every major site I monitor is taking a hit. Even Copyblogger is seeing a reduction in traffic and email subscriptions. This is largely due to people using AI instead of searching.
Does that mean it's useless? Definitely not. You just need to add more persuasive power to your content. Mention your offers in posts. Mention results driven too. Get more leads per click instead of getting more clicks.
2. Converting Post Types
This applies to social media and search. Some post types are much better at converting than other post types, even if the amount of impressions or search clicks they get is lower. Which makes them valuable.
Examples include case studies, your offer vs competitors, and what makes your offer different. Mix those in with wide appeal content, and link to those in your wide appeal content so you get customers, not just clicks.
3. You Don't Need To Do Anything New
New content ideas are overrated. New offers are overrated. New everything is overrated. What really matters is doing something well and a little bit different from your competition. Combine both, and you win.
Write a blog post that has a persuasive twist on it (e.g. "Best Restaurants In Paris (From a Local) instead of just "Best Restaurants In Paris"). Write a "How I" guide on social instead of a how-to. Uniqueness sells.
4. Lesson From The Build
You can't be afraid to ask and sell. Do it even if you feel uncomfortable. Do it even if your skills and offer aren't great yet. Do it every single day. Do it until you're 100% comfortable doing it. Sell, sell, sell, sell, sell, sell, sell.
People finding you and asking to work with you without you ever selling to them is a silly dream. You're going to have to ask thousands of people to buy your thing. Better you start today than wait months or years.
