Hey, Tim here. Let's start with a sponsor, then we'll do your 4 tips. Track Your Website Traffic (For Free) Today's newsletter is sponsored by Ahrefs. If you want to get customers through your blog, you need traffic. And if you want traffic, you need to know how optimized your site is. Ahrefs Web Analytics is insights focused and privacy-friendly. I've been using it as a Google Analytics alternative to see everything happening to my website, monitor AI traffic and Clicks, see which keywords bring visitors and so much more. I recommend you do the same. It comes free with Ahrefs Webmaster Tools, and you also get access to Site Audit and Site Explorer. Click below to sign up for Ahrefs Webmaster Tools: Now, your weekly strategies and mindset shifts... 1. The 80/20 Rule Every few months, take a step back and analyze your business. Devote an entire day to this, or maybe just a couple of hours. Either way, one of the best ways I've found to do this is thinking about the 80/20 rule. In general, 80% of your profits will come from 20% of your actions. An example of that 20% might be cold outreach to sell your service. Whatever it is for you, find it, then refocus on that. Bigger profits will follow. 2. Always Have An Upsell Two facts: Your current customers are your best future customers, and there will always be some percentage of customers who want to pay you more. That's why it's always a good idea to have a premium upsell. For Copyblogger Academy, we have Content & Clients. For a freelance service, you might have a version that goes above and beyond and is a lot more expensive. You can and should do this for almost any business. 3. Foundational Metrics There are only three metrics that really matter in business. They're LTV (total lifetime revenue for the average customers), CAC (the cost to acquire them), and the total amount of customers you're getting. You can find endless tactics to optimize each of those, but never forget that they're your main drivers. Regularly brainstorm on how to increase LTV, decrease CAC, and increase total customers. It'll pay off. 4. Lesson From The Build Most people are still sleeping on content repurposing. I'm currently taking videos I film for YouTube and posting them (with captions) on X, Threads, LinkedIn, and Instagram. It takes me an extra 15 minutes per week. Focusing on one platform early on is a fair strategy, but repurposing is smart once you get some momentum. It costs no money, almost no time, and it gives you a ton of extra shots at getting sales. That's a good bet. - Tim P.S. Whenever you're ready, Copyblogger can help you in 3 ways: - Copyblogger Academy - 6 courses, Q&A, and a lot more for just $149.
