The Key To Good Copywriting Working with Charles has made me realize that copywriting isn't just about mentioning benefits. It's actually an argument for buying your offer specifically, and you need to prove that argument with lots of support. The best ways to do it are with proof (like case studies), uniqueness (like a hyper-specific audience), and brand (your personality). Benefits are the bare minimum. If you want to level up, you need to add those three. 2. Please Don't Do This Every once in a while, I talk to an SEO who bought thousands of backlinks on Fiverr, then quickly watched their blog traffic go from a small amount to any even smaller amount, and they don't know why. The reason is that Google can easily spot obvious "cheating" like that, and it penalizes you for it. There are some tricky gray hat methods to getting links, but buying them for cheap isn't one of them. Just don't do it. 3. Start Ugly I recently stumbled on the first version of my first online company, Sober Nation. You can look it up on Google if you want. The design is nothing amazing, but it's clean and modern. It looks professional. That's how it looked 15 years ago when I started. Not truly awful, but not good either. You don't need everything to be perfect because you're going to improve everything as you go along. Just do your best. 4. Lesson From The Build The 80% rule says that you should do things when you're feeling 80% ready, or they're 80% done, rather than waiting for a 100% that never comes. I think that's a very good mindset for marketers and entrepreneurs. Looking back, I can count the amount of times I did something too early on one hand. But there are hundreds of times that I started late and wish I had done it sooner. If you're a bit unsure, lean toward taking action. - Tim P.S.
