What Most Creators Think"I'm not getting any clients or customers. I need to deliver more value!" A lot of content creators think like that, but that's not how it actually works. The only thing more value really helps you with is getting found on search engines. It doesn't help that much with sales. So what does? To answer that, you have to enter the mind of the potential customer, and especially the potential client. They want:
I'll tell you from experience. The basic marketing platitudes I used to post occasionally got me customers, but it wasn't often. My long guides where I reveal all my secrets did the same. Lots of likes. Not a lot of buyers. I had a coaching client who was getting over 1,000 likes on his LinkedIn posts every day, but he wasn't selling anything. He had been trying for months to earn more by creating even more viral content. But it didn't work. What gives? What Copy Creators KnowAn amazing blog post gets you clicks. A valuable social media post might get you a decent amount of likes. But if you want buyers, they have to want what you offer, trust that you'll deliver it to them, and like your and your philosophy. That's why when I post about my personal experiences and personal opinions, I earn a lot more than when I post things that are entirely general. It's also why my case study posts often earn me the most even when they get the least likes. Value posts aren't bad. Especially for your blog. But the answer to low sales numbers is not more value. It's building trust in your brand and offer, and it's having a philosophy that people like and is somewhat unique. So does more value mean less profit? No, it doesn't. Value can get you clicks, followers, subscribers, and build a moderate amount of trust. But it can't do all the heavy lifting alone, and more of it won't fix your sales issues. Ultimately, if you want to sell, people need to know:
If your content isn't telling them any of those things, you're not gonna sell well. If it is telling them those things, you have a chance. Keep adjusting your content with those four things in mind.
